Chronic stress is the number one cause of health problems. Sometimes we carry stressful life events from the past with us and feel stuck in unhelpful stress and nervous system responses. Other times the stress is caused by the present, and often it is a combination of both. Not always do we have to revisit, or even worse relive past stressful events, in order to release the high nervous system activation that got stuck in our system.
